Uniqlo has announced that it will launch a new kidswear line in Australia as part of its spring/summer collection in 2018.
The new line comes as part of a collaboration with French designer Ines de la Fressange and will be featured in its LifeWear collection, representing the LifeWear collection's first foray into kidswear in its 10th season.
The new collection will also include a matching women's line as part of a move towards enhanced ranging across multiple categories including kidswear.
The current collaboration is limited to womenswear and includes outerwear, dresses and accessories.
In a statement, Uniqlo said the new collection was developed to expand its LifeWear collection to a new market through connecting the fashion designs of mothers and children.
“This LifeWear collaboration celebrates its 10th season with the debut of a long-anticipated kids line.
“The new kid's line enables both mothers and children to amass lasting memories in enjoying French chic, a goal that Ines has held since the inception of this collaboration collection.
“LifeWear is clothing that is constantly being innovated, bringing more warmth, more lightness, better design, and better comfort to people's lives.”
