Global athletic brand Adidas is set to take over two new floors at Melbourne Central in Victoria, adding to a selection of new retailers in the CBD shopping centre.

The new Adidas store will expand across 1,205 square metres of space, becoming Melbourne’s new ‘Halo’ store across Australia and New Zealand.

According to Adidas, its Halo store represents the brand's premium, flagship retail concept designed to provide a highly immersive, digitally driven, and experiential shopping journey.

The brand and retailer has around 2,000 stores globally, with around 30 in Australia.

Adidas’ Melbourne Central opening comes as the shopping centre adds six new and updated retailers across fashion, lifestyle and dining.

This also includes Miniso Friends, the first-of-its-kind on Australian shores, with 80 per cent of its products including officially licensed IP merchandise and collectibles. This includes plush toys, surprise boxes, accessories, stationery and lifestyle essentials.

Other key openings include Bake Stand, Flappy’s Fried Chicken, Fishbowl, and a Garfield: I Hate Mondays Lasagne Bar

Melbourne Central centre GM Andrew Drivas said the new additions adds to an offering that caters to many customer profiles.

“Melbourne Central’s offerings are consciously curated to bring the best experiences and  products to our retail community – with international exclusives to local favourites, we’re always listening and hunting for the next big thing,” Drivas said.
