Accent Group is the second major fashion distributor to launch its own e-commerce portal this month, following a menswear venture from Sydney-based Gazal.

Accent Group, based in Melbourne, holds Australasian distribution rights for footwear brands such as Skechers, Vans, Dr. Martens, Replay Footwear and Palladium Boots.

Teaming up with online retail specialist Torpedo 7, the company has launched e-commerce store urbandaddy.com.au and urbandaddy.co.nz.

The portals will offer a wide range of brands including Vans, Converse, G Star, Nike, DC, Diesel, Le Coq Sportif, Merrell, New Balance, Urge, Birkenstock, Kathryn Wilson and Gravis.

Style categories include casual, sneakers, hi-tops, performance, sandals, boat, dress and boots with hundreds of styles across men's, women's and children's options.

The website boasts a 365 day return policy, free shipping and clear product display and photography.

Operating in its current form since 1988, Accent Group has around 65 employees involved in the wholesale business.

It services both the New Zealand and Australian markets, with offices and distribution based in Melbourne and Auckland, alongside dedicated showrooms in Sydney and Brisbane.

Historic Sydney-based brand house Gazal also launched its own e-commerce site this week, offering a mix of its own labels and external brands through themensshop.com.au.
