Seven new designers will take the stage at MBFWA as part of the Raffles international showcase on May 16.
The event will showcase collections spanning a number of markets including womenswear, contemporary menswear, couture design and street wear from their Resort '19 collections.
The showcase has been part of the fashion week calendar since 2012 and has showcased the work of over 50 graduate designers including both local and international talent.
The Design Residency has also partnered with Raffles to provide business mentoring to the seven designers from their founder, Lorraine Lock as a continuation of the partnership that began in 2016 between the two groups.
Raffles program director for fashion design and marketing Nicholas Comino said that the showcase was a chance for designers to be exposed to industry leaders and to present their individual brands on an international stage.
“The chosen designers have an incredibly bright future ahead of them and the standard of work is a testament to the talent and dedication of Raffles students nationally and internationally.
“We hope to give them the best possible support to create and present their individual brands to industry leaders throughout this process.”

The showcase will take place at 3pm, 16 May at Gallery 1 in Carriageworks, Eveleigh.
