Shoes of Prey has just closed a $5.5 million series A round with Khosla Ventures.
Shoes of Prey will use the investment to focus on the US market and scale up its on-demand manufacturing facility.
The additional funding will also support the completion of six branded buildouts within Nordstrom stores located across the US.
The stores allow customers to design their own shoes beyond its digital platform.
New investors of note are Bonobos co-founder Andy Dunn and ThirdLove co-founders David Spector and Heidi Zak.
Existing investors who also invested in this round include Blackbird Ventures, Atalassian co-founder Mike Cannon Brookes, Bill Tai and Southern Cross Ventures Partners.
To support growing demand, the company is gearing to open its second production facility which is five times the size of its first.
This will allow the brand to expand its vast selection of customisable silhouettes, currently at 300,000 trillion different combinations for design.
Shoes of Prey was conceived in 2010 and has 75 staff in six offices globally.
To date, women have spent spent hundreds of millions of minutes on the site and designed four million shoes since the launch.
