Spotlight Property Group has unveiled its $45 million retail development in the heart of Queensland's Sunshine Coast at Maroochydore City Centre.

The development includes a 11,000m2 retail precinct which houses tenants including Anaconda, Harris Scarfe and Spotlight.

The new 2,500sqm Harris Scarfe store will be opened first on February 10, with Harris Scarfe designer and Australian Olympian Giaan Rooney attending the ceremony.

The new Harris Scarfe store has created 28 new local jobs and will house the business' range of apparel, manchester and electrical.

"We are so excited to be starting off the year and welcoming the biggest store we have opened with The Spotlight Group," Harris Scarfe CEO Graham Dean said.

"Our Maroochydore store is a testament to all of the improvements we have made over the last 12 months.

"Our loyal customers and new Harris Scarfe shoppers can enjoy our enhanced in-store experience as they browse the brands they know and exclusive designers they love with even more attentive and timely customer service.

"Our strong team in Maroochydore and across Australia are continuing to drive Harris Scarfe’s success by delivering an enjoyable shopping experience.

"Our latest store allows us to show our customers the business’s growth and development with more stores planned," he said.

The Harris Scarfe store will open with free coffee and food for the first 100 customers, while a DJ will provide entertainment throughout the morning.

Following the Harris Scarfe opening, Spotlight will open its largest-ever store on February 16.

The 6,000sqm site will be opened by the Mayor of Sunshine Coast Mark Jamieson and Spotlight Group executive deputy chairman Zac Fried.

The Spotlight Property Group development was in the works for the past 12 months.

It is located on Dalton Drive in the Maroochydore City Centre site.
