Three labels have the chance to secure up to $30,000 worth of free public relations thanks to a project being backed by Porter Novelli Melbourne.

The communications agency has unveiled Jack + Bill, a pop-up agency dedicated to supporting emerging fashion, jewellery and accessory designers. As its main project, Jack + Bill is offering up to three months and $30,000 worth of PR services to up to three up-and-coming fashion talents.

The four professionals manning Jack + Bill will select the winners from an open casting call to be held in Melbourne on July 30. Fashion creatives keen to compete will need to take along their portfolio or lookbook, an application form and their best pitch as to why they deserve to win.

It is not the first time a Jack + Bill offshoot has appeared, with Porter Novelli running the same initiative in New York in 2008. Porter Novelli Melbourne managing director Peter Kent said while the firm was not synonymous with fashion PR, the Jack + Bill “incubator” project allowed four of the firm's staff to devote time to an area they're passionate about.

Porter Novelli is an international marketing, public relations and corporate communications agency with 90 offices in 60 countries.
