Australian menswear brand Mr Simple has launched its first shoe collaboration with Los Angeles brand Clae.

Collaborating with Clae, the Mr Simple design team took the Australian Defence Force's Australian camouflage (AUSCAM) and added it to Clae's popular August shoe.

The collaboration nods to Mr Simple's roots, which originated in the 1990s when the brand used to buy cargo pants from the disposals store and cut them into shorts to skate in around Australia as they were cheap and durable.

The partnership also speaks to the brand's values, which focus on responsible fashion and eco-friendly fabrics, Mr Simple said in a statement.

"Since 2014, we have focused on becoming a responsible company and moved to using organic and recycled fabrics which is why the collaboration fit so well with Clae, as they aligned their values and looked to assist in a sustainable future for fashion.

"Created for men that enjoy the simple things in life Mr Simple x Clae August shoe resembles the durability of the AUSCAM and minimalist comfort of a Clae shoe," the brand said in a statement.

The Mr Simple x Clae shoe features a 100% cotton canvas upper with camo print accents on the heel and toe of the shoe.

It is limited to 300 pairs worldwide and is available now from the Mr Simple website for $149.
