High performance brand 2XU has been reappointed by the Australian Insititute of Sport (AIS) as the organisation's Offical Compression Partner.

The brand has strengthened a consecutive six year partnership with AIS, with the latest agreement set to extend the alliance to a full decade.

AIS senior sport physiologist and head of recovery Dr Shona Halson said that research conducted in conjunction with 2XU since 2009 has led to powerful findings to improve athletes' performance.

“The AIS is always looking for a performance edge and together with 2XU, we will continue conducting research into the physiological benefits of compression so we can provide our athletes with top of the range, high performance gear that will help them stay at the top of their game.”

2XU co-founder Aidan Clarke also believes that the partnership will bolster the brand as a leader in the performance apparel market.

“The research, results and product development achieved through our partnership with the AIS have seen us top the field in innovation, leadership and credibility in high-performance compression apparel.

“Our brand is driven by a passion for performance and we look forward to seeing Australia’s athletes recover and perform in our world-leading 2XU garments in 2016 and beyond.”

2XU was launched in Melbourne in 2005.
