Beginning Boutqiue is reaping the rewards of a live shopping event with socials media star Sophia Begg. 

17-year-old Begg went live on the eTailer's site yesterday, driving 26,637 page visits and 12,000 customer engagements at the time of the launch. 

During the 20-minute stream, Begg sold out multiple sizes in the collection and prior to kick-off, generated the registration of 12,000 unique users who wanted to be notified when the event started; 10,000 of which had never previously shopped with Beginning Boutique. 

Beginning Boutique PR manager Jade Le-Moigne said the brand aims to focus more heavily on live shopping moving forward.

"Live shopping is the future of eCommerce and we want our customers to know they can rely on us to always be ahead of the game.

"That, combined with our expansion into the TikTok realm, has proven that video really is the way of the future. 

"We’ve been working closely with Sophia for three months now and are excited to reveal what other projects are in store for the rest of 2021 and 2022," she said. 

Begg joins other influencers who have collaborated with the eTailer including Emma Leger and Shani Grimmond. 

She was chosen after previously selling out three exclusive styles on her TikTok. 

Begg has 202,000 TikTok followers and 78,600 Instagram followers.
