Yesterday Bonds celebrated its 100th birthday in Sydney with a guest appearance by brand ambassador Iggy Azalea.

Amid the celebrations, the brand has recapped on major milestones since it was launched by George Bond in 1915.

According to the label, the average Australian household holds at least seven of its products.

In addition, one Bonds 'Wondersuit' is reportedly purchased every three minutes, with around 370,000 babies being cast in the annual Bonds Baby Search.

Since 2002 an estimated 90,000 Nippers have worn a Bonds 'Rashie' and today, enough Bonds 'Chesty's' have been sold to stretch around the coastline of Australia – almost five times.

The brand also announced its expansion into standalone retail stores in 2010 and now occupies 48 sites nationally, as well as a presence in Asia and Europe.

This year Bonds also announced it will focus on extending its product offering to the local and international market, including a range of shirts, skirts and dresses.
