Australian bridal brand Grace Loves Lace is set to expand its international footprint, confirming it will open a new showroom in Canada in August.

The showroom will be Grace Loves Lace's (GLL) 17th location globally and will join the brand's other sites in Australia, America and United Kingdom.

The Toronto space will be the eighth GLL space to open worldwide since January 2020.

GLL founder and creative director Megan Ziems said that the decision to open in Canada was the natural next step for the brand.

"When we started discussing launching to a new country, we knew Canada was ‘the one’.

"We receive around 100 enquiries a month from our Canadian brides-to-be wanting to see, touch and try on their dream Grace gown – so the launch in Toronto was a no brainer for us," she said.

The brand has seen rapid growth after one of its gowns was pinned on Pinterest more than 2.5 million times, becoming the world's most pinned wedding dress.

Following the increased demand, GLL has focused on global bricks-and-mortar expansion to give brides-to-be the GLL experience.

"With the Canada and US border closed since March 2020, our Canadian brides-to-be haven’t had a chance to experience the full Grace experience," Ziems said.

"So, we decided to bring it to them.

"Canadians and Aussies have such a similar style.

"We are no fuss, laid-back and adventurous, who value good quality product and design," she said.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the brand is set to continue its expansion, planning to open a further eight US showrooms by September 2022, taking its total bricks-and-mortar footprint to 25.

The brand is also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and has commemorated the occasion with a 35% increase in sales in the last financial year ending June 30 2021.

GLL is based in Australia and designs, develops, manufacturers and carries out quality control all onshore.

GLL Toronto will be located in the Distillery District and will open in August 2021.
