The much-anticipated launch edition of Australia's newest fashion luxury magazine 10 has landed.
As reported by ragtrader.com.au last year, 10 and 10 Men is a joint venture between Australian fashion publishing stalwart Alison Veness-McGourty and Zac Publishing.
The titles are published biannually in Australia in February and August.
Veness-McGourty unveiled the launch edition at an intimate event in Sydney yesterday evening, revealing the local team had worked with the UK arm shooting in London, LA, Tokyo and New York.
The launch issue numbers at 260 pages, with a split cover featuring Lily Donaldson in Gucci and the other featuring Noomi Rapace in Prada.
"10 has a sense of travel to it," Veness-McGourty said. "We've shot in a plane, a train and in a car - its all about going places because 10 is growing and expanding - and arriving in Australia. There's an exclusive behind the scenes of Victoria's Secret show and a great Dolce & Gabbana shoot."
Local content includes travel tips with Ellery, Dion Lee and Jordan Askill as well as '10 minutes' with Elizabeth Debicki.
Veness-McGourty also wrote a dedicated feature about being a "fashion immigrant:.
10 Men sits at 204 pages and is framed around "misspent youth" with Long Island upcoming model Marc Faiella on the cover.
10 is on sale from today, distributed by Gordon & Gotch across 200 selected newsagents with 150 window displays.
A Facebook campaign will also launch today, while subscriptions will go live tomorrow with iSubscribe and I love Magazines.
Veness-McGourty said she is pleased with the initial launch phase.
"It has been an amazing journey and it never stops, we are really proud of the launch issues and have had great support from the industry.
"It has been a steep learning curve starting a publishing company embracing old media and new media - combined they are the way forward."
