10,000 tutu dresses in 12 months
In the last year, Tutu Du Monde has sold over 10,000 tutu dresses, utilising approximately 75,000 meters of tulle and 80,000 hours of hand beading.
This is the unlikely success story behind the vintage inspired childrenswear label.
Founded in in 2009 by Andrea Rembeck, who's design resume includes Escada, Collete Dinnagan and Lisa Ho, the brand is going from strength to strength.
Tutu Du Monde recorded 14% sales growth in the last financial year, with new international accounts including Liberty London and Farfetch.
All production is based in a village on the outskirts of Delhi in India, employing local women who utilise hand beading knowledge.
The brand is stocked in 116 international boutiques and 52 domestic stockists.
