Kmart Australia has signed on for a second year as a commercial partner of PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival (PMFF).
The discount department store will host a showcase on Saturday, March 9 at the Royal Exhibition Building from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, alongside a Family Runway at 11:30 am inside the Royal Exhibition Building.
Kmart hosted two runway shows in the Melbourne Museum last year - opposite the Royal Exhibition Building.
“We are so pleased that Kmart will once again be part of PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival,” Kmart CEO John Gualtieri said.
“At Kmart, it has always been our belief that everybody, irrespective of where they live or how much money they earn, should have access to good quality affordable products, including the latest fashion trends, and we know that this couldn’t be more important to our customers in the current climate.
“We are proud to showcase our unique offering within this event and reinforce with our fashion-forward customers our range of great apparel at our famously low prices, which is designed locally with sustainability in mind.”
PMFF CEO Caroline Ralphsmith welcomed the partnership.
“It is a joy to partner with Kmart for another year and bring Melbourne families an exciting new event concept as part of our festival programme.
“Family Day presented by Kmart provides a fun and interactive event for all ages and makes the excitement and delight of a fashion runway accessible for everyone.”
As well as the two runway shows last year, Kmart hosted a business lunch, with Kmart managing director Ian Bailey presenting on-stage.
