China Clothing Textiles & Accessories Expo details its new virtual event.

No one has been untouched by the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, leaving many industries gravely affected.

It’s been necessary for organisations to reimagine their operations and business models and open their eyes to new ways of engaging with their customers and broadening their offer.

The platform provided by face to face events to connect decision makers with partners in trade was one of the first hit by the global lock down.

The China Clothing Textiles & Accessories Expo being one of these events.

Countless events have been cancelled indefinitely, staring down the barrel of an uncertain future.

With a 20-year pedigree of delivering a high quality forum for the building and deepening of relationships between Australian and New Zealand manufacturers and suppliers with their China based partners, the ultimate pivot has just been confirmed for the 2020 event.

"Coming from a position where we were faced with considering drawing a line through the entire event for 2020, we are thrilled to announce that we are able to deliver a completely online experience for our visitors in November this year," said Melissa Wortley, marketing director.

"We’ve developed an online event which has been successfully delivered in other regions globally and we’re excited to offer this from 23-27 November to our Australian audience.

"Our visitors indicate each year that they attend to meet new suppliers," she continued.

"The November event will be no exception.

"We have over 200 confirmed exhibitors participating this year, many of whom are new to the event and are keen to build meaningful partnerships with businesses in the region.

"Exhibitors will be featured across womens, mens and childrenswear, home textiles and fabric, accessories, footwear and bags, swimwear, intimates and workwear.

"Plus with the impact of COVID-19 we have introduced a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) category for 2020.

"We are confident this online format can go a long way to filling the void of the physical event for this year," she said.

This event provides opportunities for both volume sourcing, as well as smaller operators including start-ups who are keen to grow their network and connect directly with suppliers from China.

The event is recommended for all owners, managers and buyers representing manufacturers, suppliers, designers, distributors and retailers of clothing, textiles and accessories.

"Going virtual is obviously a big leap so we have ensured that trialling this in both the US and Canada has given us a great opportunity to refine the platform and ensure that attendees get the most out of their engagement with the event," Wortley added.

As with the physical event, registration for trade attendees is free.

The show period is extended by two days increasing to a five day event.

So now, more than ever, the opportunity to connect with convenience, is very real.

Connecting buyers with overseas manufacturing partners is the event’s key focus.

Delivering a platform that allows this to take place simply and provides the scope of information that a visitor at the show would be seeking is key to the process.

As an event registrant, you will receive early access to all the information you would normally receive at the show along with product imagery from exhibitors, simple navigation to search by category, by name or via the virtual floorplan.

Organisers recommend early registration so that visitors get the full advantage of early exhibitor profiles so that planning for your business can be well in train before the event formally opens Monday 23 November 2020.

An extended program of concurrent events is in the final stages of planning and these details will be available soon.

"It’ll be a brand new experience for all our participants," Wortley said.

"We have seen this work very well with our partner events and are very excited to give our local supporters and the many new faces a chance to check it out," she said.

The China Clothing Textiles & Accessories Expo goes live at 10.30am from Monday 23 through to 5pm Friday 25 November 2020.
