MELBOURNE: This weekend will see Spring Racing fever play out at Melbourne Central shopping centre with a series of parades. Centre manager Scott Meehan confirmed the catwalk event had been designed to promote the centre's 'Mix Don’t Match' concept - with diverse fashion labels working together to create original spring racing looks.
“The Mix It Up Fashion Parades will showcase the latest spring racing designs and offer a range of mix and match options to help you look your very best at the track,” he said.
Fashion retailers at the centre include Alannah Hill, Arthur Galan AG, Kookai, DeCjuba, Wittner, Nine West and Oroton.
A spokesperson for Alannah Hill said the new spring summer collection - which will debut at the parades - was designed to work as a spring racing carnival offering.
"An eclectic mix of embellished fabrics, silks and laces, the range features a combination of floral prints juxtaposed against bold motifs with intricate detailing. The colour palette includes blush pinks, pastel blues, crisp whites and mellow yellows."
The 'Mix It Up' fashion parades will launch tomorrow, Friday October 17 at Shot Tower Square, Level1, Melbourne Central - running at 12.00pm, 1.00pm and 7.00pm.
Parades will also run at 12.00pm and 1.00pm on Saturday and Sunday October 18 and 19.
