MELBOURNE: New York glamour is set to arrive at Novo footwear stores this spring through a collaboration with renowned shoe brand Nina. Featuring satin and suede high heeled pumps with diamante, floral and ruche detailing, the Nina for Novo designer range was priced around $99.95 to $129.95, a Novo spokesperson confirmed.
Established in New York in 1953, Nina shoes had evolved into a high recall fashion brand "renowned for making sexy and glamorous footwear."
"It all started when brothers and co-founders of Nina shoes, Mike and Stanley Sliverstein created a fashion clog - a sexy platform sandal with a wood stiletto like heel. The clogs were inspired by the more traditional style their father had made in their former home in Cuba. By the end of the 1950s, Nina’s fashion clogs were a hit and on the feet of stylish women everywhere. Today Nina shoes are featured in top fashion magazines and can be spotted frequently on the red carpet."
In Australia, the Melbourne-headquartered Novo brand operates retail outlets in shopping destinations across Australia, including Westfield Bondi Junction, Chadstone, Hay Street in Perth and Pacific Fair in Queensland.
The Nina for Novo range will be available in selected Novo stores from this month.
