Newbies join accessories fair

MELBOURNE: Two first time exhibitors will be launching at Fashion Exposed as part of the Leather Bags and Accessories (LBA) fair from September 14 to 16. Handbag label Waterlily began manufacturing in 2004 in India as the flagship brand of leather craft brand Acme, while accessories label Martini & Coz features a range of scarves, jewellery and handbags.

An LBA spokesperson said the two brands would both fill a gap in the market for high quality, value for money product.

"Waterlily was created by a team of young designers who wanted to create good quality leather handbags that were wearable and had a strong identity. In the last few seasons, Waterlily has seduced buyers from across the world and is now available at select premium retailers across Europe, the US and Japan. Waterlily will be showing their Winter 09 Collection at Fashion Exposed."

"Martini & Coz was founded and is designed by two friends Erica Allia & Natasha Hinett. Their first range is inspired by beautiful vintage scarves, jewellery and handbags and has a 'Girl on a Motorcycle' feel about it. Their signature clutch is lined with a vintage scarf, each one different from the last."
