MELBOURNE: Australian wholesale company Mercury Brands has appointed two new executives to its board as part of a sweeping internal restructure. The Victorian-headquartered company, formerly trading as Austin Group, has announced the appointment of Jacki McAvenna as chief financial officer and Alex Van Rajenwaaij as general manager of operations.

The appointments are part of an extensive company restructure headed by Melbourne-based business consultancy firm 333.

McAvenna has 10 years experience in a Top Four accounting firm and has held managerial positions with Linfox Logistics and Coles Myer.  

Ravenswaaij has over 20 years of management and consulting experience, conducting over 50 assignments across a manufacturing, wholesale, retail and services.

Ravenswaaij joins the company from 333, where he played a key role in the review and implementation of operational strategies for Mercury Brands.
