NATIONAL: Australian swimwear brand Seafolly has entered an unlikely market in its bid to become an export powerhouse. The Sydney-headquartered company, with support from Government export agency Austrade, has just broken into Poland with buyers around the country flocking to attend a showcase staged in Warsaw.
Seafolly distributor Joanna Ciepiela conducted business-to-business meetings with prospective buyers, showcasing the brand's range of swimwear, resortwear and mix-and-match accessories.
Confirmed stockists include retailer Senland (Warsaw and Raszyn) and Victoria (Warsaw).
Seafolly has a strong presence in the European market, holding an enviable position as the top-selling swimwear brand in UK department stores Harrods and Selfridges.
The company's export business currently represents 25 per cent of its overall revenue with plans to push this to 50 per cent in coming years.
