GOLD COAST: Surfwear brand Rhythym is set to dramatically ramp up its international profile by launching across the United States. The Burleigh Heads-headquartered brand, which launched into the Australian market five years ago, will debut in the market via the Action Sports Retailer trade show in San Diego early next month.

The brand has employed former Ocean & Earth sales representative Jye Townsend to head the brand's international operations, while surfing identity and Von Zipper salesman Justin Hugron has been engaged to help Townend market the brand in the US.

Rhythym is also planning a core marketing program to promote its export program, which will include traditional print media, some online as well a number of unique initiatives involving local youth and communities.

Best known for its boardshorts, the Rhythym range also extends to hoodies and T-shirts. Australian stockists of the label - available across every state - include Deep Water Surf (NSW), Beyond (WA), City Beach Darwin (NT), Extreme Surf (SA), Brighton Surf Co (VIC), Bad Company Surf (QLD) and Bay Surf (TAS).
