Indulgence at Melbourne Central
MELBOURNE: Arguably there's no better way to relax after a hectic week than a glass of champagne and a mini makeover, manicure and massage; and the 'Too Indulgent at Melbourne Central' experience promised customers the opportunity to do just that. Guests at the June launch party included Channel Nine's Kelly Landry (pictured) and Italian-style menswear designer Dom Bagnato. The two following Friday nights saw shoppers repeat the experience, enjoying pampering from Napoleon Cosmetics and personal styling from leading retail brands, including Olrik Denmark and Arthur Galan.
Back to the future
He might have been missing a hoverboard but Sydney-based designer Daniel Avakian managed to add a touch of futurism to Oyster magazine's June/July launch party. As part of celebrations for the magazine's Time Travel issue, Avakian put together a live fashion installation featuring his Back-To-The -Future themed spring/summer 2008/09 collection. Staged at Sydney's Oxford Art Factory, the installation had most guests wishing it was 2015 already. Pictured are April Rose Pengilly and Gracie Otto, both wearing Daniel Avakian.
Diesel powered celebration
With cocktails dubbed 'Louvley' boot cut and 'Clush' skinny leg, it was obvious guests were in for an evening of denim talk at Diesel's latest launch party. Representatives from the streetwear giant were on hand to give crowds a denim diagnosis – that is, what to wear and what to avoid when it comes to our favourite pair of bottoms. Held at The Loft bar in Sydney, it drew a legion of models including Jaime Wright, Renee Bargh and Alicja Wojcik. Pictured are: Tia Spanos, Emma Simons, Olga Moses and Tiffany Hague.
