Krites opens doors to US cool
SYDNEY: Distribution and brand management company Krites has secured the exclusive Australasian rights to two new youth labels from the US.
Hailing from Texas and featuring East-meets-West styling, jeans brand Fortune Denim is set for high end positioning with a price tag of around $329. Krites national sales manager Wendy Medanic said the jeans were manufactured in the US from premium Italian denim and featured signature details including a satin waistband.
"Fortune Denim brings a specialist, celebrity favourite denim label to Krites' stable of international brands," she said. "It's a brand which offers much needed feminine jeans for women that appreciate sophisticated style, detail and comfort."
Meanwhile Los Angeles brand Kill City – which traces its roots to New Wave contemporary music culture - was designed to "fill the void between mass produced fashion and the designer label market".
Comprising a full range of clothing for young men and women, including jeans, T-shirts, outerwear and knits, Kill City's point of difference is its progressive wash and dye treatments including Tie Dye and Batik. The brand has an upper mid market positioning, with T-shirts priced around $60 and pants starting at $130.
"Kill City brings to the Krites business a brand that compliments the current portfolio and [is] testament to Krites as being at the forefront of cutting edge fashion," Medanic said.
Both brands, set to hit retail stores this September, would be supported by Krites team of in house account managers.
"Krites also employs the services of specialist, independent sales agencies around Australia and New Zealand that provide exceptional and 'beyond the call of duty' service to clients. The Krites team live and breathe not only fashion but the brands they represent as they themselves are the target consumers," Medanic said.
Meanwhile August would see Krites' branded retail store From St Xavier relocating from its current site on Gould Street Bondi to a site - next to renowned jeans brand Ksubi's store - at the "better end" of the same strip. From St Xavier would also open a new boutique in Military Road, Mosman during the same month with both stores stocking a range of local and international labels, including; Religion, Alice McCall, Antipodium, Oscar, Buddhist Punk, Trovata, Natasha, Freesoul, Chronicles of Never and Mogil.
