MELBOURNE: Accessories icon Catherine Manuell Design (CMD) has introduced a vivid floral theme to her spring/summer 2008/09 collection.
The new range will boast over 100 individual designs in an array of fabrics and colours, including European rose print silks, Japanese animal prints, embossed leather looks, Korean screen prints and vivid rose print velvets.
New designs include a Korean print multi shoulder bag, metallic loop clutch bag, large shoulder carry, large embroidered multi-fabric overnighter, rose velvet shoulder bag and wallpaper inspired retro shopper tote, as well as a bold, oversized poppy-print luggage set and handbag.
The 'Poppy Red' line - which releases into stores in August - would feature "roaringly large poppies, tomato red and emerald Spanish inspired florals, shiny fleur-de-lis inspired prints and retro styles, to create an energised summer-afternoon-in-the-garden look," a CMD spokesperson said.
Based in Melbourne, CMD manufactures, retails, wholesales, imports and exports and has over 300 stockists throughout Australasia, Europe, UK, US and Canada. It operates concept stores in Melbourne and Sydney.
