ANZFW: Bring on the bubbles
AUCKLAND: Beleaguered organisers of Air New Zealand Fashion Week (ANZFW) have scored a corporate sponsorship coup. French champagne brand Moet & Chandon has signed on as an official supplier to the fashion trade event, just weeks after luxury hotel chain Hilton pulled the plug on its long-standing parternship with ANZFW.
It is believed Hilton's decision came as a result of negative media coverage surrounding ANZFW founder Pieter Stewart's jailed husband, who was found guilty of sexual abuse charges dating back 30 to 40 years.
Moet & Chandon would debut a luxurious black and gold lounge as part of its ANZFW sponsorship with Brut Imperial, Rose Imperial and Grand Vintage 2000 Blanc just some of the beverages on offer. The brand's range of champagnes would also be served at all official ANZFW events and sold onsite at bars, cafes and restaurants.
Other key sponsors for ANZFW, which will run from September 16 to 21, include The Westin Hotel, Air New Zealand, Westpac Bank and The New Zealand Herald newspaper.
