Airport opens retail sites
SYDNEY: Sydney Airport has called for expressions of interest from fashion retailers looking to secure space in its redeveloped international terminal. A $500 million redevelopment of the airport, expected to be completed in 2010, has opened up space for more than 140 new stores at the site.
Existing fashion retailers already onsite include high-end luxury brands Ralph Lauren and Fendi.
Sydney Airport retail manager Mark Lucey said the space provided an "extraordinary" opportunity for retailers interested in becoming part of the new shopping precinct.
"Sydney airport receives over 10 million international passengers every day and this is an exciting opportunity for retailers to be part of the airport's ability to reach this global audience."
Expressions of interest, together with supporting credentials, must be received by June 30.
