Joolz' big night
A select group of guests joined Joolz founder Airdrie Makim at the launch of the latest Joolz collection last month. On April 23, party goers celebrated the cocktail hour at Polly bar in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, whiling away the evening with complimentary drinks, live music and an exclusive viewing of Joolz' latest jewellery collection.

Lovin' that body
Denim specialist Jeanswest celebrated the launch of its 'Bodylove' promotional tour last month, at a bash co-hosted with tour partner Cosmopolitan magazine. Cosmo fashion editor Sarah Bonett and fashion director Nicole Adolphe were on hand at the Jeanswest Pitt Street store to showcase the new 'Spoylt' denim range, workshopping the perfect fit for party guests' bodyshapes. The Stretch Slim Flare and Wide Leg styles proved crowd favourites on the night, which also comprised makeovers from Gorgeous Cosmetics and the chance to star on a Cosmo front cover. Zampatti zing
A haunting soundtrack and a beautiful light-filled warehouse provided the perfect ambience when Carla Zampatti and Bianca Spender (pictured) launched their spring/summer 2008/09 collections in Zampatti's studio space late last month. The mother and daughter team ably showed why between them they are able to cater for women of any age with drapped print dresses and tailored jackets attracting plenty of interest from the fashion and media pack present.

Flash photography
What better way to get some of the industry's highest profile players out on a cold night than a photography auction in the name of sick children? Dubbed "From Fishnets to Ballgowns" and staged by the MLC Centre, the exclusive exhibition featured works by 22 of Australia's leading and emerging fashion photographers, all of which were sold with profits going directly to the Starlight Children's Foundation. Pictured enjoying the action is Rohan Peterson and Amanda Woodward-Brown.

Piano woman
Sydney's The Piano Room appears to be the venue of the moment among the fashion set with every second event drawn to the King's Cross venue. Rachel Gilbert was among those cashing in on the craze when she selected the site to stage her spring/summer 2008/09 collection there. Continuing from the collection's use of luxury fabrics and embellished evening dresses, guests were treated to canapes, cocktails, elegant piano tunes and free make-up touches. Relaxing in style
The VIP Rosemount Wine Bar offered many a flustered fashionista the space to chill out during the recent week of madness that was Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. Boasting candles, couches and even the odd faux fireplace, the bar had the sponsor's product on tap giving visitors ample opportunity to regale gossip from the front rows. Jimmy Choo
International footwear phenomenon Jimmy Choo launched its latest collection in spectacular style. Staged on day three of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week - although strictly off schedule - the event got off to a promising start when media and VIP delegates were issued with a high-tech access card. Several Perrier-Jouet bubbles and Grey Goose vodka's later and guests were chuffed to hear the cards promised an exclusive gift at the Jimmy Choo flagship store in Castlereagh Street. Tis the season
Luxurious Italian cashmere brand Brunello Cucinelli launched its spring/summer 2008/09 collections in Sydney's Woollahra recently. The pre-lunch launch saw guests including Chantal and Ron Tosolini and Charles Frater served a light snack before the catwalk came to life. Pictured is Marina Afonina and Claudia Navone.
