MELBOURNE: Arthur Galan (AG) has expanded his womenswear retail presence with the opening of a new store in Melbourne Central shopping centre.
Located on level two of the complex, the store would sit alongside high end brands including CK Calvin Klein, Alannah Hill and Dom Bagnato, a spokesperson for the brand confirmed, adding the store's subtle palette and slick sculptural lines reflected the aesthetic of AG's latest line.
"Taking inspiration from the cold war and military style, Arthur Galan’s autumn winter 2008 collection features an array of subdued monochromatic hues of midnight blue, charcoal, noir and olive green, softened by splashes of magenta, eccentric orange and rich ruby. The essence of the women’s collection is a sultry vision of movement and an emphasis on sleek sophistication. Key pieces for the season include batwing sleeved garments, soft draped dresses, double breasted hip-length jackets and a chunky knitted poncho for cold winter nights."
The launch of the new AG outlet – coinciding with the brand's tenth anniversary - was the third in Melbourne for AG womenswear, adding to stores in Little Collins Street (CBD) and Chapel Street.
The brand also operated one Sydney womenswear store in Westfield Bondi Junction and five menswear stores; three in Melbourne and two in Sydney.
