TTNA talks dollars

MELBOURNE: The Technical Textiles and Nonwoven Association has heeded calls from local manufacturers struggling to deal with the current global economic climate.

The industry association will stage a briefing on global commodity sourcing for national TCF businesses next week. The briefing will cover the current state of alternative materials in the manufacturing sector, rising prices in the resin market and supply risks. Other key issues will include streamlining the supply chain, hedging options, negotiation strategies and general business procurement initiatives.

The briefing will be held at Melbourne's Bayview Eden on May 29.
