MELBOURNE: Fresh from fashion week, Melbourne's latest resin jewellery specialist boasts new business leads, a new collection and a soon-to-be launched online store.

Siren jewellery, created by designer Bronwyn Eager, launched its 'Everything is coming up Roses' debut collection at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) from April 28 to May 2, featuring in the Emerge @ Source section.

Eager said the business leads and exposure garnered at fashion week had been invaluable.

"We picked up a store in Western Australia, as well as coverage in the mainstream media including Shop Til You Drop, Cosmopolitan and The Age," she said.

Hot on the success of the vintage rose inspired range, priced from $90 to $180, Eager was already on the verge of launching another line.

"This one will be based on playing card suits and includes embedded mesh and tattoo designs. It's proved more complex to design than the last one."

Comprising 45 pieces in total including colourways, the upcoming range would be priced around $200, Eager said.

"We're planning to launch a new range every two months. It's going to be a huge challenge, but it's great fun too."

Siren had picked up around 15 stores in recent months, mainly in Melbourne, including RG Madden, Aero, Ado and MG Studio, and hoped to drive sales further with the launch of an online store, at sirenaccessories.com, next month.

Eager said she hoped to expand overseas in time.

"While fashion week was overall a huge success, the only disappointment was the fact that we didn't meet any overseas buyers. I think they were really pressed for time and they had a lot to get through, but some kind of business matching system would have been really useful."
