Detective work
Australian intimate apparel brand Berlei was everything but undetectable at the launch of its latest lingerie range. Hosted by brand ambassador Sophie Falkiner at The Loft, the evening affair spruiked Berlei's collection of Undetectable knickers and bras - seamless, stitchless and if all goes to plan, a sell out. Satins and laces in rich red, navy, indigo and creme hit the runway while a host of Sydney celebrities, media delegates and VIP's sipped on champagne and nibbled on a selection of canapes.

The big breakdown
International sportswear giant Puma has enjoyed a long association with all things street. It comes as little surprise then, that it chose to launch its autumn/winter collection in true hip hop style. Staged at Sydney's Grand Pacific Blue Room, the evening saw a largely young crowd knock back drinks while the Puma range dangled overhead on a clothes line. A cracking break-dance display capped off the festivities.

New French Connection
To celebrate its official launch into the Australian retail market, French designer label Façonnable staged an intimate gathering at its flagship boutique in Sydney. GQ editor Grant Pearce and brand representative Sebastian Turgis (pictured) were on hand as guests picked their way through an impressive collection of men's suiting, ties and accessories. Although the brand's womenswear range has yet to hit the local retail scene, Turgis cracked it would be available "very soon, tomorrow?".

Off and racing
Westfield Bondi Junction adopted a decidedly carnival feel when it played host to the Australian Jockey Club's Fashions-on-the-Field launch earlier this month. Using the event to showcase a variety of new corporate sponsors, the event served the dual purpose of also treating fashion hacks to a glimpse of what they could expect to see on show at the Royal Randwick Autumn Carnival.
