Free workshops for industry
GOLD COAST: A series of business development workshops are set to take place across Queensland as part of an Australian Government funded initiative.
The TCF Australian Business Growth Project & Designedge Training & Mentoring project is supported by key industry bodies such as the Textile, Clothing Footwear, Leather Resource Centre of Western Australia, Belmont Business Enterprise Centre and the designedge fashion incubator.
The complimentary workshops, kicking off on the Gold Coast on May 5 and followed by Cairns on May 10, will cover a broad spectrum of issues from sourcing off-shore manufacturers to cash flow management.
The Gold Coast instalment will be staged at Varsity Lakes' Industry Central site from 12 noon to 5pm. It will cover topics such as 'Growing Your Fashion Business', 'Product Development', Business Development', 'Pricing and Costing' and sourcing raw materials and manufacturers.
The Cairns instalment will be held at Cairns City Library's meeting room and cover 'Pricing and Costing', 'Cash Flow Management', 'Debt Collection & Credit Management', 'Growing a Fashion Business Workshop', 'Environment & Eco-friendly Product Development' and off-shore manufacturing.
