An army of tigers
What do you get when you put a Canadian tattoo artist, three rock 'n roll bands and a flailing American popstar in one room? A denim phenomenon, of all things. To celebrate the arrival of Californian rockers Tiger Army, Nudie Jeans staged an evening of music, fashion and art at Sydney's Oxford Art Factory. Guests included Canadian tattoo legend Mikel Johnson; bands British India, Black Rose and Tiger Army; and ex-Nsync bopper Lance Bass. Summer delight
Australian frock designer Leona Edmiston made the most of Sydney's brilliant weather to showcase her spring/summer 2008 collection. Beach dresses in vivid shades of pink, yellow and azure made their way down a runway in Vaucluse's Neilsen Park while media delegates and VIP's munched on a variety of sweet and savoury breakfast canapes.

Up close and personal
Apparel giant Gazal swooped down and gave a pat-on-the-back to the little guys last month. The Lovable lingerie distributor staged an intimate cocktail function for retailers in Sydney, with brand ambassador Jennifer Hawkins making a welcome appearance. Gazal underwear national sales manager David Furness also used to occasion to announce the launch of Gazal's Underwear Independent Retailer of the Year award. Gucci Good
European luxury brand Gucci chose a converted warehouse in Alexandria to debut its spring/summer 2008 launch. The dark surroundings couldn't be more at odds with the collection which boasted a palette of blush pinks, brilliant peaches and vivid plaids. Gucci Australia managing director Helen Koo and public personality Natalie Michaels (pictured) were on hand to celebrate as the brand also unveiled its latest fragrance for women.
