Trend gurus descend on Australia

NATIONAL: Some of the globe's leading visionaries will share their thoughts in an upcoming trends seminar being staged across Sydney and Melbourne later this month.

The Future Trends Vision open day, hosted by Melbourne firm Fashion Forecast Services, will see speakers include British author Jo-An Jenkins, Amsterdam publisher David Shah and Fashion Snoops senior editor Eva Brune throw open the doors to their heavily researched publications.

The international line up will be complemented by Australian speakers Chris Stone from Chris Stone Design and Tony Bannister from Scout.

Subjects covered during the full-day presentation include everything from runway, trade show and street trend influences to a look at the socio-economic and cultural trends expected to shape the design strategies in future years.

The event, taking place in Melbourne on April 15 and Sydney on April 17 , has limited tickets available.
