Graniph lands in Sydney
SYDNEY: Cult Japanese streetwear label Graniph has launched into the Australian retail market.
The brand, which is known for producing limited edition T-shirts in collaboration with graphic artists and illustrators, has opened its first store in Sydney fashion shipping destination TGV. Graniph t-shirts retail at $40 for one piece or $70 for two.
Australian collaborators of the brand have included Sydney photographers Lyn Balzer and Tony Perkis – who have shot campaigns for local designer labels Konstantina Mittas and streetwear brand Antipodium – and Beci Orpin, who has designed for brands Mambo, Gorman and her own Princess Tina label.
The label also stages an annual design award for young artists, encouraging them to submit their work regardless of age or artistic experience.
Graniph's Sydney retail store is located on the ground floor of TGV.
