NATIONAL: Australian apparel giant Pacific Brands has appointed a new chief financial officer (CFO).
Stephen Tierney, who boasts more than 18 years expeience with Pacific Brands in a variety of financial and operational roles, is no stranger to the position, having assumed the role of interim CFO in October 2007. Tierney was also a permanent CFO from the period 1998 to 2005, where he was credited with guiding the company through its sale to private equity and subsequent float.
Tierney and CEO Sue Morphet recently presented the company's half year result and confirmed its guidence for the full year of NPAT growth at least 10 per cent in excess of the prior year.
"Stephen and I have developed a strong working relationship and with Stephen's extensive business knowledge and capabilities, we make a strong team to lead Pacific Brands into its next chapter."
