MELBOURNE: Childrenswear label Sudo is marketing its latest autumn/winter collection as a dose of Melbourne ‘cool’.
A spokesperson for the brand said the latest collection - targeted at ages two to 10 - would feature a blend of muted charcoal and earthy tones injected with flashes of colour.
Highlights of the range included asymmetrical jackets, crop pants and pinafore or ‘A line’ dresses for girls in a palette including cherry reds, oranges, lilacs and raspberry pinks worked back with chocolate, metallic, marl, cream and black.
For boys, ‘too cool for skool’ hoodies, slouch pants and jeans would feature strongly, as well as signature long sleeve T-shirts decorated with screen-prints and badges, track pants and cardigans.
"Boys will love the ‘Rocker V2 Jean’ featuring removable braces, a contrasting coin pocket, and a leather belt loop, available in raw or vintage denim."
Established in 2003 by Terry and Rachael Lay and designed and manufactured in Melbourne, Sudo was created to make "cool and fashionable" clothes for the pair's own children.
Sudo co-founder said Rachael Lay said the brand was determined to maintain its quality by sourcing fabric for and producing the majority of its collection within Australia.
"We love the new autumn/winter collection. Kids love the cool styles and we are sure parents will love the premium quality too."
