Fashion in the Raw
MELBOURNE: L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) will reach beyond fashion to promote design talent across a range of categories at upcoming luxury showcase Raw.
Exhibiting ideas and collaborations in the fashion, food and drink, lifestyle, interior and product design categories, 2008 was the first year the entire two-day event would be held under one roof, a Raw spokesperson confirmed.
"This year Raw is going to be spectacular, integrating a live program – including fashion parades, food workshops and ballet performances - as well as awe inspiring art installations including leading design talents such as luggage giant Samsonite Black Label and Danish international fashion house Sand."
Raw 2008 will take place from Friday to Saturday March 7 and 8 at Shed 4, Bourke St, Victoria Harbour, Melbourne Docklands.
Day one will comprise a showcase from 5.00 to 10.00pm, with a fashion collection show at 8.00pm. Day two will comprise an all day event. Kicking off at 9.30am, Santa Vittoria will present its 'Fine Palette' food and drink showcase, followed by a performance of dance piece 'Project Two' by The Melbourne Ballet Company at 11.00am. At 12.30pm the Fashion Collection Show will unfold, followed by interior design showcase '8' presented at 2.30pm by Poster Magazine and Motorola. RAW will conclude at 4.00pm on March 8 with an event finale and silent charity auction.
