New names added to Fashion Hall of Fame

MELBOURNE: Iconic Australian designers Jenny Hoo and Paris Kyne were welcomed into the Stonnington Fashion Hall of Fame last night.

The pair, which was welcomed during a glittering ceremony at Melbourne's Prahran Town Hall last night, join luminaries such as Alannah Hill, Joe Saba, Perri Cutten and Charlie Digby in being inducted into the hall.

Stonnington Mayor Claude Ullin said individually the womenswear designer and milliner had both contributed so much to the Australian fashion industry that the council were unable to select one over the other.

"Fashion is part of the very fabric of community here in Stonnington and Jenny Hoo and Paris Kyne are two of the remarkable, yet very different threads, that bind that fabric together. Their wonderful creativity has helped weave our city's reputation as the fashion and style capital of Melbourne, if not Australia, both home and abroad," he said.
