PERTH: International jewellery retailer Tiffany & Co is set to open a store in Australia's precious stone capital of Western Australia.

The store, the company's fourth in Australia, will occupy 420 square metres in a historic building in Perth's King Street shopping area.

Tiffany's own architects and designers aim to preserve the heritage-listed building's original facade and will create a "modern and gracious" interior across three levels.

Brands to be showcased in the store include Elsa Peretti, Paloma Picasso, Jean Schlumberger and Frank Gehry.

Tiffany & Co Australia managing director Glen Schlehuber said his company was very excited to be entering the Perth market and that the store's prominent location provided it with the perfect environment to showcase its designs.

The brand currently has one store in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
