MELBOURNE: Bag and accessories brand Catherine Manuell Design (CMD) has unveiled a "luxe" winter 2008 collection and re-located to a new-look store.
According to a CMD spokesperson the winter 2008 range marked an upmarket move and "a luxurious and directional look", showcased in brand imagery modelled by emerging talent Claire Quirk from the Chadwick model agency.
With over 100 designs in the collection, new styles included the Pocket Front Carry Bag, Multi Shoulder Bag, Loop Clutch Bag, Large Shoulder Carry, Large Multi-Fabric Overnighter, the Patchwork Bag and the unisex Boxer Airport Trolley Set, the spokesperson said.
Meanwhile signature pieces such as CMD Airport Trolley sets, Personal Shells and Wheely Carry-On bags had received a makeover featuring deluxe finishes.
New fabrics, colours and textures included European silks, brocades, embossed leather looks, corduroys, Korean screen prints and flocked cotton velvets.
"[The palette includes] chocolate, toffee, bronze, pewter, rose, gold, burgundy, metallics and charcoal with touches of silver highlights."
CMD's winter collection will no doubt find a fitting home in its new central Melbourne store, boasting a revamped fit out.
