New stitch in time
SYDNEY: A leading embroidery software and solutions specialist is set to make the production process a whole lot easier.
Alexandria-headquartered company Wilcom International has teamed with Corel Corporation, a leading developer of digital media software, to launch a revolutionary graphics and embroidery technology for the apparel industry.
Dubbed DecoStudio, the "all-in-one" solution allows users to combine the embroidery and print design process, while keeping both elements in one file for production purposes. Designs can also be layered with different techniques including screenprint, direct-to-garment, print embroidery, appliqué and more.
The solution also purports to give embroiderers a new level of flexibility and control with their custom designs and final stitched results. The design-to-stitch solution determines the best stitch settings according to the fabric and garment types chosen, ensuring consistent results with each use.
Wilcom International CEO Martin Kristiaman said the solution also expedited the design creation process with automatic conversion from vector art to stitch.
"We believe DecoStudio is a new milestone that benefits the multi-decorations industry and makes it easy for users to visualise and design a creative mix of garment printing, embroidery and appliqué."
