NATIONAL: A string of international luxury brands are set to ramp up their presence in the Australian market.

American accessory giant Coach has announced the opening of its first flagship store in Sydney's Queen Victoria Building. Australasian operator The Valiram Group will host an official launch on February 6, unveiling the latest in handbags, small leather goods, watches, travel accessories and gifts.

European jewellery and accessory brand Bvlgari, which already boasts a flagship twin-store in Sydney's Castlereagh Street, will unveil its first Brisbane site on January 28. Designed by the company's in-house architects and located on the ground floor of department store David Jones, the store features waxed 'trani chiaro' stone and maple wood parquet. The interior will be predominately light in colour, with ivory marmorino plaster and maple wood offset with pear wood counters.

Denmark-headquartered brand Pandora Jewelery will re-launch its Sydney flagship store in April, following a month long renovation program which will see it double in size. Construction is currently underway in three other Australian states, with stores in Perth's Hay Stree Mall, Melbourne's GPO Building and Brisbane's Myer Centre also earmarked for an April debut.
