SYDNEY: Graphic designer Vince Frost has launched a range of collectable tees for streetwise men and women.

The range sees the British born designer re-visit an early passion; his first tees were created to make extra cash while he was at art college in the 80s.

From a studio flat above Anita Roddick’s original Body Shop store in London, Frost created his now iconic design based on a photograph of his father on a Triumph motorcycle, a spokesperson for Frost confirmed.

"The very same image features in the lead tee of the [current] “Dad Rode a Tiger” range nearly 20 years later."

Made from 100 per cent bamboo, the fabric in the range was "soft as silk and strong as cotton, naturally hypoallergenic, cooling and naturally anti-bacterial," the spokesperson added.

Frost founded Sydney company Frost Design* (he added the asterisk after noticing it is used as a symbol for ice on freezers) in the early "noughties", having gained recognition in the London design scene with projects including a Spice Girls album cover, stamps for the Royal Mail and redesigns of The Independent Magazine and The Independent newspaper.

More recent Australian projects include the redesign of the Sydney Dance Company logo.
