NATIONAL: A group of leading Australian designers have proved that no product is safe in the war on generic goods - even the humble eskie.

Jayson Brunsdon, Easton Pearson, Akira Isogawa, Ksubi, Zimmermann, and sass & bide are among 15 labels to have created limited edition 'summer' products in support of the Cancer Council of Australia. The products, which include a hat from sass & bide and a leather eskie from Ginger & Smart, were commissioned as part of a skin cancer awareness campaign by Australian women's magazine marie claire.

Other items include a surfboard from Alice McCall, a beach umbrella from Jayson Brunsdon, a handbag from Karen Walker, a wetsuit from recently acquired surfwear brand Tigerlily, a bikini by womenswear label camilla & marc and sunglasses from streetwear brand Ksubi.

Consumers can purchase the goods via marieclaire.com.au from January 9, with a maximum of 10 versions available of each design.
