Driza-Bone Active's challenge
TASMANIA: Registered trademark Driza-Bone Activ has gained significant brand uplift from its support of the third annual Mark Webber Challenge.
Taking place late last month and covering approximately 450 km of World Heritage listed areas in Tasmania, Formula One racing driver Mark Webber’s charity challenge was created to raise money for young Australians with life threatening illnesses, with further donations pledged to the Australian environment and conservation protection projects.
Each competitor in the challenge, which comprises cycling, hiking and kayaking, wore Driza-Bone Activ apparel - a sporting sub-brand of the iconic Driza-Bone outerwear brand, a Driza-Bone spokesperson confirmed.
"The Driza-Bone Activ range was developed using Australian Merino wool, guaranteeing 'eco-friendly activewear fashion' that [is] 100 per cent natural, bio-degradable, sustainable and renewable."
Meanwhile Webber himself described Driza-Bone Activ clothing as "perfect for this event".
"On one day we started with a kayak in the rain then transitioned to a bike ride. The cool air on the bike ride would normally freeze you if you’re wet, but the race tee-shirt dried quickly and helped maintain an even body temperature. It [was] so versatile all week across so many different conditions.”
