SYDNEY: The latest addition to the sunglasses market promises today's consumers the chance to enter a retro purple haze.
Eyewear specialist Odyssey 20/20 has launched a sunglasses collection in homage to rock legend, Jimi Hendrix.
Designed by Jim Lazarides – formerly of leading eyewear brand Arnette -- where he worked with Greg Arnette to establish the brand as a world leader in the 1990s -- the Odyssey 20/20 Jimi Hendrix sunglasses collection retails for $250 apiece and can be found at HMV, Virgin and Sanity stores.
Launching on November 28 at The MTV Gallery in East Sydney with special guest Bob Hendrix – Jimi's first cousin -- scheduled to attend, the birth of the Jimi Hendrix Sunglasses brand coincided with Universal Records' release of new Jimi Hendrix DVD and CD Live at Monterey.
