MELBOURNE: Ragtrader TNT Retailer of the Year Award winner Gorman has ramped up its eco-friendly womenswear line.

The Melbourne-based company will launch a range of organic printed tees into national stores next week which feature facts on saving the environment and tips on reducing carbon footprints.

Printed with water-based ink of 100 per cent organic cotton, the tees are available in vibrant colours and display slogans such as 'Eat me, I'm organic' and 'Don't Press Me'.

To drive the launch of the new line, which retails at $69 and is available in stores throughout Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Gorman will offer customers a free rosemary tree with each purchase for the next two weeks.

Since its adoption of environmentally friendly processes earlier this year - including the use of sustainable fabrics and switching from carbon heavy air freight to sea freight - Gorman has reduced its carbon footprint by 70 per cent. It is aiming to be completely carbon neutral by 2008.
