FAST FASHION: Some of the most influential names in fashion visited Sydney recently when global organisation Fashion Group International staged its international conference. Delegates at the three-day conference included FGI president Margaret Hayes, Karolyn Wangstand of JC Penney and New York-based fashion designer Marisol Deluna. Dubbed 'The Cutting Edge', the conference also coincided with FGI Sydney's 40th birthday with the local chapter celebrating by re-launching its annual awards for excellence. Winning brands included Nearly Nude for the Rising Star award, Helen Kaminski (pictured) for Sustainable Design, DPK Australia which received the Innovation Excellence award, Signature Prints which was awarded for International Achievement and Nicola Cerini who was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.
